As I said above, I wanted to build an E11. I purchased an ABS pipe that the hardware guys said was 1 1/4 and it even says 1 1/4 and made in usa on the side. I cut it to 18.5 inches.
Now here is the idiot half of my fail. I have printed the templates several times and without borders. Oddly I had to use the 1.5 version, but it fits arround perfectly. The fail part is that the pipe would easily need to be 19.5 or even 20 inches long for the templates to fit.
I know others have used the templates, so my question is, what am I doing wrong?
I am just started and soooo stuck.

What is the OD measurement of your 1.5" ABS pipe. I used 1-1/4" PVC and 18.5" was plenty. If the printed template is sized correctly to wrap around a larger diameter pipe, the length could be scaled up also. My 1-1/4 PVC schedule 40 pipe measures 1.66" OD (about 1-5/8" diameter).

Thanks for the reply guys.
My pipe is 1 5/8 OD and 1 3/8 ID.
I think my two problems are, lack of confidence and a screwy printer.
I think I need to try using the 1 1/4 template and try to get the % right. I think the printer is just not printing it right for some reason since originally the 1 1/4 is a little too big when printed and the 1.5 was a little too small.
Printers never were my favorite. And I won't even talk about power tools. Lol
But I love Star Wars.
