I have recently started my first attempt at buildin an E-11 blaster from PVC pipe, wood, vinyl (from siding), and miscellaneous other items I find handy. Here are a couple of photos I have taken to document my progress. She's a little rough, but like I said, this is my first attempt, and I am learning as I go. All of this was done with handhel power tools, a pair of scissors, CA glue, and sandpaper. The magazine is removable and locks securely into place with a magnet. Yet to do:
Grip panels
barrel and port deflectors
Barrel grips
Nozzle details
Selector switch
Underfolding stock
End cap modifications and details, d-ring
Scope rail
Scope

Are the counter and power cylinders on top of the magazine well necessary details for an ANH blaster? Some appear not to have them in the movie.

Feel free to critique.

Thanks. A friend of mine turned it on a lathe in three parts then glued them together.

A little more progress. Trigger and additional magazine well detailing, modified PVC end cap to be more scale-like.

Hi there, your E-11 is looking fantastic, you've got some great skills there, can't wait to see the finished item.

Nearly done.

Here's the ejector port/bolt handle side showing the magazine detatched. How does the placement of the scope look? There seems to be some variation in the different pictures I have seen.

The folding stock is completely functional and locks into place in the extended and closed positions.

Butt stock locked and arms opening to extended position.

Arms locked in extended position.

I made the bolt functional as well. You can see the spring and follower through the slot.

Bolt opens with a pull of the handle and snaps to the closed position when released.

Here's a shot of the magazine side.

Same side, but with primer applied. Now, it's starting to look like a blaster!

Stock extended.

I still have a few more details to add, like the d-ring and the button on top of the magazine well. Are there any opinions out there on whether the targeting sensors (on top of the magazine well) and the ammo counter are absolutely necessary. Some of the photos from ANH have them and some don't.
